Electret
Eelectret is dielectric which has a semi-permanent electrical charge on its surface (vicinity). It was given the name “electret” because it has similar properties as a magnet which has a semi-permanent magnetic force. The substance was discovered in 1919 by Mototaro Eguchi. Electrets are used in microphones and vibration power generators.
