PREMINOL <General Name > High purity & High Molecular Weight Polypropylene Glycol

Product summary

Preminol is a high function polyol that exhibits low mono-ols and ultra-high molecular weight due to the development of special synthesis technology and polymerization process.
It produces polyurethane with excellent strength, durability, elongation and hardness that could not be obtained previously.

Features

Preminol is a high molecular weight / low side product polyether polyol developed using AGC Chemicals' unique polyol synthesis technology.
Urethane products that use Preminol excel in high elongation, quick curing, good hardening, high durability and low viscosity.

General name: polyether polyol
Other names: PPG (polypropylene glycol), polyalkylene glycol

* Because there is a little production of side product mono-ols with Preminol compared to conventional Excenol, highly pure polyol with a close number of terminal functional groups of the initiator can be obtained.

< Correlation of polyol molecular weight and actual number of terminal functional groups >

* The manufacture of ultra-high molecular weight polyether polyols, which is unattainable with conventional technology, is possible.

* Preminol features and the merits for urethane
Low side products => High strength, high durability, good hardening
High molecular weight => High elongation, quick hardening
Narrow molecular weight distribution => Low viscosity

Main uses

It allows the development of a wide range of applications such as urethane foam, CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers) including adhesives and injection-type elastomers, functional oils and surfactants, etc.
